11 Months and a new friend!

Will was 11 months yesterday! He's such a big boy now and has even taken a few steps on his own. I don't have a whole lot of new things to talk about this month, he's just growing like a weed! We are working on the sippy cup because he hates it and gets cut off the bottles next month so we have a problem there. He's constantly on the move and I spend most of my day just keeping up with him as he explores. He's talking up a storm and has started to copy sounds that we make and try to say words that we say. I can't believe he's almost a year old and I have a feeling that very soon his steps will become full out walking!

The stairs are still a favorite!

Halloween costume- such a cute dinosaur!

He likes to talk on the phone.

Looks like he's up to something!

He likes pictures about as much as I do!

Pushing his wagon around. Not sure why he has Urkel pants, apparently I pulled them up too high!

I came in the room and he was sitting Indian style on the floor. It made me laugh. Looks like he's ready for sitting in a circle at school!

Playing with Nana. Yes I know his hair is too long, just one more month!

In other exciting news, my friend Jessica had her baby Evelyn Gray today, so Will has a new friend! We can't wait to meet her!

10 Months

Will is 10 months old today! I can't believe how big he's getting! He weighs a little over 24 pounds and is 31 inches long. He seems really tall to me but I think he must have a really long torso. I have trouble with clothes for him because 18 month things are getting too short in the stride but I think 24 month clothes will be WAY to long in the legs.

He's eating table foods now and likes most everything we give him, I just need to do a better job of feeding him our food for meals. He seems like he should eat baby food but with 8 teeth he can eat anything really.

He's happy most all the time now and just plays with everything. He favorite thing to do is climb the stairs and throw off anything that might be on them. He's just trying to help me keep them clean I guess. We really need to get a gate because he does a great job going up but he CAN NOT go down. He likes to crawl over to them at the top and just try to dive off. We can't keep anything in his reach anymore because he likes to pick everything up and either eat it or throw it down.

He's precious! And we have fun together every day!

Fall=Football, Fair, and Fun!

Going to see what the guys are talking about!

Playing with his football while we wait for the band to go by!

Dressed in their orange together!

Hanging out with Ashley and Watson!

All that tailgating made him tired!

Will and I went to Fayetteville during the fair and Rob came down and joined us on Friday for the races. It was a lot of fun!

Will loved watching the horses and people! He even had a horse on his overalls!

Stats and Stairs

Yesterday we went to Will's 9 month appointment and got his official measurements. He is 23 lbs 12 oz and 30 inches. That put him in the 90th and 95th percentiles. I was also told to feed him anything, no restrictions, so I've been giving him bites of everything we eat and he seems to like most of it.

He has a new fascination with the stairs and will go stand at them for minutes at a time. He's too scared to climb them, he just stands at the bottom and looks up. The nice part of this is that I can get things done in the kitchen while he stands at the stairs. But that will be a different story when he decides to start climbing!

This morning.

Tonight after bathtime.

9 Months

I have been a terrible blogger and have taken a whole month off, but I promise to do better this month. I feel like we have just been really busy but I know I've had time to blog and just haven't.

Will is 9 months old! He's such a big boy and doing new things all the time. I don't have stats because our 9 month appointment isn't until Tuesday, but there are lots of other fun things to talk about.

Will is full on crawling and starting to pull up and he's getting in to EVERYTHING. I was trying to send some emails the other day and he was all over the place! He was under tables and pulling up on the couch and the window and going into the kitchen and knocking over all the games. He just likes to crawl around and see what he can find.

We are finally starting to eat some non-pureed foods. He's tried some things we are eating at different times and mostly has not liked them. He'd rather I put everything in the blender for him, but he has 7 teeth so I think he can move on to some new foods! 7 teeth! They are just coming in like crazy.

No new words. He says mama and dada but I'm still not sure he knows that's us. He claps and sometimes he'll wave if he's in the mood.

In completely random order...

Looking out the window

His first real pull up. I put the cord up on the couch so he couldn't get it so he decided to pull himself up there to play with it.

Crawling under the chair.

He and Susan were tired!

His first celebration with his grandparents. You can see the horse over his head.

Cheering on the horse meant hitting Anna in the face!

He can't push his wagon yet so he just rides in it.

His grandparents and great-grandparents came to visit!

He and I before we left him with a sitter one night. Pictures of us together are rare.

He was drinking his bottle one morning while I was trying to do something and he just looked like such a big kid! Usually he doesn't sit by himself for bottles, both because I like to hold him and because he likes to play with them and get milk everywhere!

8 months

So I've been slacking on the pictures lately and don't have any for this post either, I promise to add some soon. But I wanted to do my 8 month post on the right day so I'm going ahead without pics. Will weighed 23.5 pounds when I took him to the doctor Monday (runny nose and cough, apparently a virus that he is over now). Today we weighed him here and it was 23, so he's somewhere around there. We got his height at 29.25 inches. I don't really think that's correct either but it's hard to measure a wiggle worm.

He eats three meals a day and would probably eat even more if I gave it to him. He loves food! He's learning to pick things up himself and has eaten bananas and cheese this way so far. He is in the process of switching to formula full time and he doesn't love it. Sometimes he will just refuse to take a bottle and it's very frustrating, but he always takes his bedtime bottle from Rob and I figure if he's hungry enough he'll take them from me too.

He's moving faster every day and can get across the room before I know it but he still doesn't crawl on his knees, just drags himself with his arms. He can go from laying down to sitting up now and can clap his hands. He has five teeth and likes to bite everything with them, including me!

We have reintroduced the Johnny Jump Up and he loves to jump around now. He was just too little before so he could only stand there and try to walk, but now he jumps around. He also loves to knock down blocks so Rob builds him towers and he crawls over and knocks them down. He loves for us to leave a room and then come back in and surprise him, he gets excited and laughs every time. I wish that we could get our video camera to sync up with my computer so we could show some of his new skills!

His sleeping is pretty good these days. He goes to bed at 8 every night, except tonight because he knew I was writing a post and wanted to throw things off. He usually gets up sometime in the 6 o'clock hour but occasionally wakes up earlier. It's pretty rare that I don't get a full nights sleep now so that's really nice.

All in all he's a happy and healthy 8 month old and we are having a ball with him every day!
