Tonight Rob found Will's first tooth on the bottom left side of his gums. You can feel it easily and you can see it if you are up close, but he doesn't like to show it off so I can't get a picture yet. I'm glad this explains the last couple of nights of him waking up very unhappy at odd times. Last night he was up for two hours from 1-3 until we just gave up and I fed him and let him sleep with us. Now that we know what's going on, hopefully some tylenol and baby orajel will help him feel better and sleep longer.
Today we went to Lebanon to visit with my grandparents and cousins, and Mama and Susan decided to come up as well. It was fun to visit with everyone and Will was great and loved watching his older cousins play. I (of course) forgot the camera and don't have any pictures.
Hopefully a picture of the tooth will be posted later this week, but that depends on how much Will wants to smile for the camera, and usually he doesn't!

A Birthday, Weddings, and a Dedication
So I've been a bad blogger and haven't updated since our trip. We've had a lot going on though, so we'll try to cover it all before another month starts! Rob's first Father's Day was on the 19th and then his birthday was on the 20th so we went to Jackson to celebrate with his family. This was a big birthday for him because he was turning 30! We stayed for three days and enjoyed getting to see all of Rob's aunts, uncles, and cousins that we don't usually get to visit with.
This past Saturday I drove down to Fayetteville for an afternoon wedding and then Susan came back to Nashville with me and babysat Will while Rob and I went to another wedding. It was fun to celebrate both marriages and see friends from home and friends from college.
Yesterday Will was dedicated at our church and both of our families came up to be there for it. I forgot to take a picture at the front of the church so we took some after we got home, but Will was tired by then and did not want his picture taken!
In other Will news, his sleep has become completely random. He still goes to bed at 8, but he will wake up one day at 7:30 and the next day at 5. We never really know what to expect or how to get him on a better schedule for sleep. He takes pretty consistent naps every day unless we are away from home or it's a Sunday, so I don't know what throws him off every day.

The babies dressed up for church!
Will played football with Rob while I was gone to the first wedding Saturday.
He's going after everything he sees these days. The remote control is especially interesting!
Completely random, but Will and I went to visit Fayetteville a couple of weeks ago, and I was looking out the kitchen window and saw this. He blends in, but if you look at the bottom of the tree you see what I guess is a ground hog? I don't know what he is but he looks old and he's really big when you see him in person. He apparently lives in the tree. Last time I was there I saw a snake out the window so this was definitely better!

2 years, 6 months, and 4 days
We just got back from a 4 day trip to the beach. While that might seem short, with a 6 month old it was perfect! We drove down during the night Thursday and drove back during the night Monday. Will slept like a champ while we rode so it was easy on everyone! While we were there Will turned 6 months old and we celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We had a great time and it was fun to take Will to the beach and just relax for a few days!
We got home yesterday and this morning we took Will for his 6 month check up. He weighed 20 lbs 6 oz and was 27.8 inches long. This put him a little over the 90th percentile in both, so we have a big boy!
There are a lot of things I want to remember so this might take awhile for 6 months. He is rolling both ways now and scooting on his stomach so we have to watch him because we walk away and he's off his playmat. He can also no longer be left on the couch, because we put him there yesterday and walked away for a minute and when I came back to get him he was hanging head first over the edge! He is sitting up on his own and will sit and play for a long time but if he gets excited or starts laughing he falls over. He reaches for everything so we can't have cups within his reach or anything we don't want in his mouth. He's babbling a lot now and makes the dada and mama sounds but doesn't actually associate them with us. He eats twice a day, usually cereal and fruit for breakfast and two vegetable cubes for dinner. He is sleeping anywhere from 8-10 hours a night, which is a pretty wide range that will hopefully continue to move more toward 10. He goes to bed between 7:30-8 every night but his wake up time ranges from 4:30-6, usually sometime in the 5 o'clock hour. He laughs at everything and smiles easily and is so much fun to be around! He doesn't really cry much anymore unless he gets around strangers, and then he's not really sure what to think!
The first day Will got in the pool and just floated around. He loved the pool and would stay in there for awhile every afternoon.
We took his playmat and he spent lots of time on it since he didn't have any of his other toys, but it ended up being a good thing because he started rolling and scooting more.
We ate at the Crab Trap the first night and Will took his first trip down to the beach. He was fine with it when there wasn't any sand touching him.
My favorite picture from the whole trip!
First morning at the beach and he feel asleep as soon as we got there. I think the sound put him out.
After he woke up he played in his tent for a little while, but he likes to have all of our attention so the tent didn't last too long.
We went to Harry T's the second night and Will liked watching the boats so he didn't really want to smile for the camera.
We went to Pompano Joe's the third night and this was one of the only family pictures we got, not that great but at least we have one.
By the last day, the boys were worn out. They took an afternoon nap to get ready for the night drive home.

Family Time
Will has had lots of family time lately. Last week we went to Fayetteville for a few days where I took no pictures because I didn't think about it. Will did have his 6 month pics taken though and I'm hoping they will be really cute. He didn't want to smile at all and just stared at the camera so we'll see how it turns out. We got back on Thursday just in time to pack back up and leave for Jackson early Saturday morning. We went to visit all of Rob's grandparents and then went to a family reunion with all of his dad's brothers and sisters. It was nice to meet everyone and finally match faces with names. Will was pretty good for someone who spent over 5 hours in the car for the day, but he got really tired and just wanted to go to bed. Sunday we celebrated Bryan's birthday with the family and Will bonded with his Aunt Cindi! Monday morning we got up and got ready to head back during his nap. This week we've just been running errands to get ready for our beach trip this weekend. We are very excited to take Will to Destin for his first look at the ocean! Six month update when we get back from vacation!!!
Napping with Big Byrd
Swinging with Aunt Cindi (Rob took the picture through the screen so it's a little blurry)
We got Will this chair for our trip and just outings in general. He is too big to stay in his carseat during meals out and he won't sit in a high chair because he wants to lean over the sides, so this chair straps on to a regular restaurant chair. He seems to like it! Plus it gives us a tray for his toys.
Just playing yesterday. His face made me laugh!
